Where vision gets to speak.
VOK Originals is an independent news and video platform for Pakistan and for Pakistanis around the world.
We report and explain the stories that shape life in Pakistan and in Pakistani communities abroad, from politics and the economy to technology, culture, and the local issues that matter in everyday life. We tell those stories in words and on video.
What we do
News. Clear, accurate reporting on what is happening in Pakistan and around the world, and what it means for our readers.
Explainers. When a story is complicated, we break it down. We aim to give readers the context behind the headlines, not just the headlines themselves.
Fact-checks. Misinformation spreads fast. Our Fact-check section examines viral claims and shows readers the evidence, so they can judge for themselves.
Original video. Video is at the heart of VOK. Many of our stories are told on screen as well as in writing, across our website and social channels.
Who we are for
We write for Pakistanis at home and abroad, including the large Pakistani communities in the Gulf, Australia, the United Kingdom, and Europe. We also cover the topics that matter to a younger generation of readers, who want news that is direct, honest, and easy to follow.
How we work
Accuracy comes before speed. We verify information before we publish it, we separate news from opinion, and we clearly label any sponsored content. When we make a mistake, we correct it openly.
You can read our full standards in our Editorial Policy.
Independence
VOK Originals is an independent, privately owned media organisation. We are not affiliated with any political party, government, or state body.
We are funded through advertising, clearly labelled sponsored content, and video production partnerships. Advertisers and partners have no influence over what we report or how we report it.
Where we are
VOK Originals has its head office in Sydney, Australia, and a newsroom in Sargodha, Pakistan. Working from two countries helps us understand both Pakistan and the Pakistani experience abroad.
